True North

The attainable housing project developed on True North Crescent in Dartmouth is a successful partnership between Eastcut, DORA Construction, and Passive Design Solutions. It consists of four multi-buildings designed for the Affordable Housing Association of Nova Scotia (AHANS).

True North is a passive design focused on sustainability. Through our innovative techniques, we prefabricated wall and floor panels for all four phases, accelerating the construction process and bringing a weatherproof and completed project sooner than ever.

80 True North: Canopies, Roofs, 56-floor cassettes and Bundles/4431LF Walls

81 True North: 28 floor panels and over 200 wall panels

67 True North: 28 floor panels and over 400 wall panels

64 True North: 27 floor panels and over 325 wall panels

Sunflower Court​

The Sunflower Court is a Net Zero-ready 25-unit long-term rental housing development and community centre for Adsum for Women and Children, a local not-for-profit in Halifax. It provides housing for those experiencing housing insecurity and needs a safe, affordable, permanent place to call home. All buildings were constructed with our manufactured prefabricated wall panels. We partnered one more time with Passive Design Solutions on this project, which was completed in an impressive 18 months.

Dunkeld

The Dunkeld is a 79-unit mixed-use, multi-family residential building with 11,000 square feet of commercial space in New Glasgow, NS. This building is a a 4-storey timber-framed mixed-use commercial and residential building set to open in the summer of 2023.

For this project, Eastcut has produced 123 bundles of walls (approx. 2270+ wall systems), 36 bundles of floor systems (approx. 238+ floor cassettes), 800+ feet of parapets, and approximately 46 balconies.
