The True North housing development is a modern, energy-efficient, affordable mixed-income community in Dartmouth, NS. It features four multi-unit buildings designed to meet net-zero construction and passive house standards, prioritizing efficiency, cost-effectiveness, comfort, and sustainability.

Phase I, completed in 2023, includes 12 affordable units. Phase II, finished in 2024, added 32 energy-efficient townhouse-style units, 15 designated as affordable housing.

AHANS led this project in collaboration with Eastcut Wood Building Solutions, DORA Construction and Passive Design Solutions, taking an integrated design, manufacturing, and construction approach.
